A group of graduate students in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields at the University of Wyoming were funded by a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to teach science and mentor students in grades K–12 all over Wyoming. Unfortunately the program no longer exists, but many of us former Science Posse members can provide information on useful teaching materials for science educators.
I developed lessons and short courses during my Science Posse teaching fellowship (topics below). All my teaching incorporates inquiry-based methods developed by the Institute for Inquiry. I use active, hands-on learning, and teach outside whenever possible.
